Fiction could never come up with something as kino as "Internationally unrecognized Corpo-Soviet border-cryptid tax haven uniting the workers of the world under the benevolent gaze of Chairman Walmartovich".

Its funny how real life works even if it makes sense when you think about it for more than 5 seconds. Of course putting up a few hundred statues of communist leaders won't stop a "country" from being Russian ancapistan, and of course being essentially a corporate oligarchy doesn't stop its residents from really feeling nostalgic for the USSR aand putting hammer and sickles every where. Of course all of this happened, but just the simple fact that it did is amazing. It really makes you appreciate how much of a goofy goober existence really is.
