   I survived the genocide alone, leaving everything & everyone behind. It happened so fast; I couldn't even say a proper goodbye to my family & fiancé.
   Words fail me. My heart feels like it will burst from the pain.
   This is the first time I've been in a place without my mother or fiancé. I feel completely alone; I just need them by my side. Worst of all, they’re still trapped in that agony. It breaks my heart that they are still suffering. I pray they make it out safely soon.

     @joynewacc Joy, as long as @riverbirchtree and I are breathing, you will never be alone. And we’re not the only ones. There are so many people who love you and that number will grow the more people you meet because how could they not? Here’s to the day that you and your mom and your fiancé and your whole family are reunited away from the shadow of this genocide. I hope you know you are loved and so many of us are so happy that you are safe and that you are with us.
