   @alex Newb question: Are the Docs here https://docs.soapbox.pub/ for #SoapBox applicable to a very recent install that followed the install page https://soapbox.pub/install/ with Rebased? I was looking for info on how to best perform updates and backups, but some of that info looks to be for other types of SoapBox installs.

     @bill Sort of. We’re not exposing backend docs at the moment… but looking at the Pleroma docs (from which Rebased is forked) might help: https://docs.pleroma.social/backend/

     Do a backup like this:

     sudo -Hu pleroma pg_dump -Fc pleroma > pleroma.dump

     This is the one I use right now, then I move it to an offsite location. I’ve developed a script for this.

     #create postgres dump echo "dumping postgres DB" sudo -Hu postgres pg_dumpall | gzip > /tmp/pleroma_dump.gz

     I imagine you can use sudo -Hu postgres pg_dump -d pleroma | gzip > /[dir]/[filename].gz but I found it easiest just to dump everything.
