     @georgia honestly can't say with any sureness but It makes sense ig, especially for begging.
     
     Not sure about celibacy, celibacy as a ritual is likely prohibited and probably comes in the sense of disregarding superstition, but sikhs are quite prudish
     
     Ascetism I am not sure about, tho I guess it too makes sense if you consider it a somewhat pointless superstitiious act depending on the degree
