1. A wooden cabinet housing AV equipment, divided into two levels by a white wire shelf. The back wall has a cable-routing hole where a yellow single-mode fiber patch cable, a bundle of cables in black spiral wrap, and a bundle of cables wrapped in black braided cable sleeve enter. A silver temperature probe hangs by a thin wire from the top. Right wall: A dark grey vertically mounted ethernet switch. Connected to it are the yellow fiber cable, a white ethernet cable (neatly coiled and secured with two blue hook-and-loop ties), a black ethernet cable with a yellow boot, and a grey ethernet cable. Left wall: A vertically mounted black HDMI switch with a turquoise cable and multiple black cables connected to it. On the white shelf: The left side holds a glossy black Apple TV secured with two white zip ties. The right side holds a Raspberry Pi in a black metal case. Plugged into it are the white ethernet cable originating from ethernet switch, two USB adapters, a braided grey S/PDIF cable, and a black USB-C power cable. Various black cables crisscross the shelf, pinned down with velcro straps. Below the shelf: Two white power strips sit against the back wall, one in front of the other, with multiple black power adapters and cables plugged in. The front-left floor holds two large black power bricks. The center floor holds coiled black cables: one thick loop wrapped in black spiral casing, splitting off to the power bricks, and another bundle tied with an orange velcro strap.

2. The space behind a wooden media cabinet pulled away from a wall. A thick, black braided cable sleeve bundles several cords together, swooping down from a circular cutout in the cabinet's backboard to a brush plate on the right. At the brush plate, two white mains cables emerge from the sleeve to plug into adjacent wall sockets, while a turquoise and a grey cable feed into the wall. A thin, bright yellow single-mode fiber patch cable runs almost straight across from the cabinet's cutout to a separate wall plate. Above, black power and S/PDIF cables drop down from a soundbar resting on top of the cabinet, into the right cutout, joined by a spiral-wrapped bundle emerging from a central cutout. An HDMI cable runs loosely from the soundbar down into the brush plate.

  @gpunktschmitz It's a TEMPer USB temperature sensor. Cheap and good enough, though I had some issues with it not updating when it was in a different cabinet. If I have issues here I'll hook up a 1-wire temperature sensor.
