Just got another call pretending to be my credit union, asking if I had authorized various transactions. They asked me if the FIRST four digits of my card matched. Those are TRIVIAL for an attacker to know. They asked when I had most recently used my card, and where. I said, "you can tell me that." They asked if I wanted my card cancelled or put on hold, and I said cancel. Then they started talking about sending me a new card.

If you get a call purporting to be your bank, credit union, or card issuer, call them back at their published phone number, ideally from a different phone. If they are _extremely_ sophisticated, they may be playing SS7 shenanigans on your phone number, making the phone untrustworthy.
Never give account details to anyone who CALLS YOU.

If it hadn't already been obvious that it was a scam, they said that in order to send me the new card, I would have to give them information printed on the old card. I said, "I don't need a new card. Thank you. Goodbye."
This isn't the first time I've gotten one of these scam calls. They sppof the caller ID of the financial institution.
