   @jzb @jalefkowit I can't possibly think of any examples of leaders on high traffic public mailing lists trashing their colleagues. How would my Linux computer run if this were the case, there are too many volunteers here. I'm pretty sure that was the first thing we put a stop to in the 1980s /s

     @jzb @jalefkowit When Richard Torvalds announced the Linux manifestio in 1984, the first line of it was "you have to be good and nice to your fellow contributors, otherwise else, the commons cannot possibly work. consider how your voice carries in a position of power"
