     @skinnylatte I don't know if this is aphantasia, but when people say "don't think of a pink polkadot elephant!" I think of ... nothing.

     Apparently, most other people picture the elephant.

     @skinnylatte Fascinating! Does it feel distressing to you at all? Can you tell you're in a dream because you're suddenly blind? Or do you not even realise that you're missing something?

     It's hard for me to grasp because I always thought people experienced dreams with the same senses as everyday life. So it made sense to me that a blind person is also blind in their dreams, for example, but if I wouldn't be able to see in a dream, that would probably qualify as a nightmare.

     @mart_w I don’t have a conscious memory of dreams because I don’t see anything

     I only have vague feelings I remember

     I have literally never seen anything in a dream
