   If Claude is so good at generating code, why does the desktop Claude app (on MacOS) make my machine burn with the intensity of a thousand suns?

     @shriramk it also, presents me with a button that says "Open in Emacs", which when I press it, downloads XCode, and thereafter always opens files in XCode. My colleague has the same button. It opens Goland.

     There's a menu at the side of the button. It presents alternatives: Emacs or "Open in folder". Never XCode, never Goland.

     Go figure.
