Someone built a 7-segment display with multiplexer logic made of vacuum tubes. Literal air-powered vacuum tubes; so no electricity is needed except for the pump and the controller on the multiplexed input tubes.

1. The display consists of a form of 3d-printed white plastic over which a thin, bright orange sheet of silicon is laid, which is pulled into the plastic form to make indentations in the shape of the single segments of the display.
