     I'm old enough for people to incorrectly ascribe to age things that have been shit I did since I was a lil kid. mint was saying this shit a few months ago, he's like "You type like you're on Usenet" and he ascribed it to age instead of caring about correct writing. You picture a teenager that dials into his ISP and then opens ICQ and his friend says "sup" and he replies "What does that mean? 'Shut up'? I haven't said anything." You picture a 10-year-old sitting on the couch in a turtleneck sipping black coffee and reading the newspaper. I have never remembered a person's name: I have met people from fedi and from other places and I just call them by their innanet name and they're like "My name is John" and I'm like, "I'm never gonna remember that. I'm just gonna call you miku420." You picture a guy trying to explain himself to a girl who wants to know why he has showed up at her house out of nowhere as the realization dawns on him that he mistook who he was talking to over SMS.
     
     I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm old as shit but most of my cognitive aberrances are regular :facesofautism:-style things.

     @Economic_Hitman @dictatordave So, the actual guy that plays Dale died mid-recording and they had Toby Huss be Dale and Toby Huss is goddamn magical and he did a better job. He was 90% of the reason to forgive "Halt and Catch Fire" for the sloppy technical details.
     
     They are mostly setting up a second season and doing catch-up. Many occurrences were plausible and many of them were stupid. It felt a lot like they were settling back in, you know, like, when they were doing the show regularly they were able to write the characters pretty naturally but it's been a little while. If they do another season, it'll probably be pretty good. This one was, like, passable, not great, and they were a little facile with some of the $current_year shit.
