   I (58M) am the FM of a mid-sized country. About a month ago this guy Steve (67M) started DMing me through back channels. Normal stuff — "let's talk," "here's a 15-point proposal, lmk 🤙"
   
   The thing is, around the same time, his boss (78M) eliminated our Supreme Leader (85M, deceased). And Steve just... kept texting like nothing happened??
   
   I left him on read.
   
   Yesterday I went on TV and said we have "zero trust" and we're "not negotiating." His boss immediately told another network "negotiations are going well!" I said the OPPOSITE on CAMERA.
   
   Today his boss claims our president called him begging for a ceasefire. Nobody on our side has confirmed this. He told Reuters he'll be "out of Persia pretty quickly" and might come back for "spot hits." SPOT HITS. Like we're a Spotify playlist.
   
   Meanwhile our parliament speaker is posting tributes to the dead leader while secretly talking to the enemy, France says NATO wasn't designed for this, and Chinese ships are going through our strait like it's a drive-through.
   
   Steve won't stop texting. AITA?
