   SMH at the fact that these lawsuits against Meta and co about the dangers their apps expose to children are being met not with back end technical changes like better moderation and less addictive algorithms. No, they're just getting rid of E2EE and making everyone turn over even more PII.

     I guess if I wanted to try and give an excuse for them: social media platforms can't ban sexual predators without banning 2/3 of MAGA.

     @JessTheUnstill That's absolutely true, but in the context they've made where their platforms are "required" to participate in society, maybe rather than banning they should be implementing account restrictions. Like inability to send outgoing friend requests or comment on or react to anything except by a friend or a business page. This would avoid losing the advertising revenue & engagement metrics while mostly protecting others from them.
