   The thing I hate most of all about ‘procuring clothes’ is ‘changing and trying on clothes in a brightly lit environment where I feel uncomfortable’. I really hate all IRL shopping experiences. Cannot do it. Won’t do it. Makes me want to run out naked and never buy any new clothes.

     I only recently learned I have #aphantasia.

     What this means re fashion: I cannot visualize anything. So I never, ever have a visual of like, what I want to wear. I don’t even have a visual mental image of anything I own. I can’t even visualize my face! Or my body!

     This makes it challenging for me to make decisions about what to wear. I also have eye contact issues with mirrors and don’t love using one.

     @screwturn eye contact is typically an autism thing

     But autism and aphantasia are tightly linked

     Even though I have been as meh about fashion my whole life, I do think that I have taste!

     I think my ‘style’ is ‘scandi- kim Gordon’

     If I were to dress more femme, it’s both edgy and Nordic (which is confusing)

     But because it’s confusing and not often available pre-made, I guess that’s why I’m driven to now finally start to care more about it.

     Almost all of the fashion back home and in SE Asia and E Asia generally was ‘super frilly girly shit’ which gives me the terrors

     @skinnylatte It's terrible. I do want to see what clothes look like, but the idea of having to deal with all that IRL and then find out that nothing I like is available in my size makes it unpleasant
