   I'm rewatching Deep Space Nine for the first time in over 20 years. I used to rag on the first season, but...wow, no, I was wrong. There are clunker episodes, but the characters were really strong from the start. I just didn't have the life experience to really read them yet. And Dax reads so different to me now. Fancy that.

     @epilanthanomai No, it's true that he wore the shaved head and goatee well, and not even because it made him look like Hawk from Spencer For Hire, his other famous character. But I think I really undersold him before then. And Kira. Like, she's a very relatable and nuanced character once you've studied ethnic cleansing and resistance movements.
