   @PNS that is a stupid question.

   But I have been part of an interview board where I do ask unconventional questions, but there is a reason I that I do it. It gives me a chance to see how someone thinks when it comes to solving problems. I also like to ask one or two “ice breaker” questions, to keep things loose and try to get the interviewee to get comfortable.

     @PNS @wy7usa it’s so the cover can’t fall into the hole on top of the people working at the bottom of the tunnel. If it were square, the cover could orient in a way that would allow it to fall in (along the hypotenuse)

     @PNS @wy7usa in the engineering world, I like to ask that one to see if you can identify what the problem is, and then come up with a coherent thought on the solution (the round cover). It’s all about the thought process
