@dangillmor I gotta defend Paul Ford here. He's an incredibly thoughtful and kind person.. some of his earlier pieces are the best I have ever read on the Internet. If you read this NYT piece deeply, it does explain, but I kind of agree with the criticism that it starts out far too rah-rah and many people just stop reading at that point..
