@desea @yew it suffers from the problem of wotc keeps the stores open so its what everyone defaults to.
probably doesn't help that shadowrun 5th and 6th made some incredibly bad decisions too.

@desea @yew i think SR4 is the best because they tried to reign in the edge casing from 3.5 and its like, okay, deckers lost their identity as "big keyboard plug in to brain guy" because boyle turned decks in to ipads, but deckers still do a lot of hacking and the matrix rules still exist, they're just slimmed up so it doesn't take a whole GM to run them, and then the cost of being a decker is reduced so you basically half-class as something else.
this solves the pizza problem elegantly.
5/6 were like no actually hacking needs to be shitfuck expensive because muilticlassing is bad or something, but we also want to keep the gimped matrix rules, so we're going to make even dumber rules like the GOD counter or "matrix damage" to clothing. the fuck people.

@icedquinn @desea @yew
sr3 is good for playing gritty 90s cyberpunk, sr4 is postcyberpunk (the setting is somewhat happy, you can make normal-ish people as characters
