      It's been almost two years now since I uploaded a YouTube video casually featuring the original, undistorted version of John Romero's "to win the game you must kill me..." clip in the intro and still nobody has noticed or asked me where I got it from

      Anyway, I'll spill the beans. Several years ago I discovered that Bobby Prince (Doom's sound designer) had put a copy of the original undistorted sound effect (in .au format) on his website, back in 1997. The Internet Archive's Wayback Machine helpfully archived it; you can find it here https://web.archive.org/web/20000307180852*/http://bpmusic.com:80/sound/bossit01.au
