While the eastern US has been colder than normal in January, the western US has been hotter, far hotter. In fact the lower 48 states of the US were on average a degree Celsius higher than normal.

#ClimateChange is the change in the average weather, not the weather in 1 point at 1 time. I was a farmer. Over 40 years the growing season where my farm was extended 3 weeks. It also went from having enough rain to being too dry. The mid summer temperatures also got too high and caused reduced growth.
