   Frey called on the ICE operation to end.

   "I'm done being told that our community members are responsible for the vitriol in our streets. I'm done being told that our local elected officials are solely responsible for turning down the temperature. Just yesterday, we saw 15,000 people peacefully protesting in the streets, speaking out, standing up for their neighbors. Not a single broken window, not a single injury," Frey said.

     "O'Hara said he's a 37-year-old white man, a Minneapolis resident. They believe he's an American citizen. He is a lawful gun owner with a permit to carry.

     O'Hara believes more than one law enforcement officer fired their weapons.

     O'Hara said they have not been told official reports of what led to the shooting, but he has seen the video."

     O'Hara is the Minneapolis chief of police.

     Stella Carlson said that before the shooting, the man was helping vehicle traffic get around the area where ICE agents and observers had started to gather.

     “The gentleman I was standing next to was focused on helping people who were coming into Nicollet Avenue understand that they needed to take it slow and helping them get through. The ICE agents approached us, told us to back up, back up. I'm not even sure why we were helping them, if anything. And I got on the snow bank, and next thing I knew, they shot him,” Carlson said.

     My own opinion: I wouldn't be surprised if there was an element of retaliation to this, after yesterday's mass protests.

     Also, they will hype up the fact that he had a gun on him. Let's be clear: The guy had a license to carry, and his only prior run-ins with the law were traffic tickets. This is directly sourced from the local PD.

     He was fucking *helping* people, and they murdered him.
