I saw a post recently that mentioned that the fediverse is for talking about your hobbies. I don't usually talk about my hobbies unless someone makes the mistake of asking, but let's give it a try.

The following posts display the clocks I currently own (in non particular order):

The Kitchen Clock. This is an upright mantle clock (in this case, hung on the wall). Yes, another anniversary gift from my wife. This one came from J.C.Penny and is about 30 yrs old. This is a 30 day Korean clock. It hasn't needed any more than a light cleaning since I got it. The chimes count the hour and strike the half hour.

My current favorite: This Schoolhouse Clock, by the E. Ingraham Clock Co., does not chime. The face is about 12" across. The entire clock is bout 30" tall. Someone did a beautiful job of restoring the case. When I first picked it up, I thought is was maybe 20 yrs old. It still had the original maker's label on it. When I researched it, I found that would have been made in the 1890s. It ticks so loudly that it can be heard throughout the house! The mainspring snapped a couple months after I bought it. I replaced that and it's keeping time beautifully.

13 owls in a haunted mansion repeated this.

Another Cuckoo, probably from the 1970s. Instead of the familiar "coo - coo" sound we're used to, this clock replicates the quail's call. It uses only one whistle and is a "peep....peep,peep" call. In my experience, this is a rare clock for that reason.

My first clock. My wife bought this Black Forest Cuckoo Clock at Naum Bros. in 1975, for our first anniversary. Although we bought this new, it's now officially an antique at 51 yrs. Two years ago I replaced the movement.
