Can someone please tell me how to find peace and calm when I'm NOT hiking or surrounded by nature? Because I've been trying for two years and it just isn't happening.
@LightKind I try to practice gratitude, and I intentionally try to appreciate the little things around me. But man, it's getting harder and harder to feel happy.
@killyourfm But then again they also claim they are responsible for so many minor "bad" things that are currently happening to me I feel blocked at expressing my gratitude to myself and the Universe.
I started a permanent job in the military and that's SOOO amazing. I'm literally set for life but the commander stood me up for 5 hours and the voices claimed that they were responsible for it.
My niece is not talking to me and I don't know why and they also claim they're responisble.
@LightKind I cannot imagine what that's like. I'd draw parallel lines to my inner imposter syndrome/critic but I won't pretend that's anything NEARLY as drastic or challenging as what you experience.
The question is how can you plug in an amplifier to the voices who say "I love you"?
@LightKind I don't know if this remotely helps, but I've always appreciated your positivity here and elsewhere. You're a damn strong human, and you seem to be fighting through your struggles with grace and optimism.
@killyourfm the last few years I have been using noise canceling headphones and really downtempo music or actual noise/binaural beats/repetitive sounds. I keep them at lower volume because I wear them for a few hours a day. It's not the same as hiking or being away somewhere but I've found it helpful.
