    - Switched my daily driver machine to the Pocket Reform
    - Got a weird new computer and monitor setup to go with it
    - Trying to run Guix on top of Debian because things aren't really ready to run Guix on top of the Pocket (or I haven't figured out how to yet)
    - Guix in general is pretty far behind on ARM in terms of available packages
    - Forced to finally switch to Wayland to make all this work
    - Some things only work in GNOME
    - Some things only work in Sway

    Goofy computer times

      I do have to say that I feel a bit in a bind, there are some things I'm going to have to use Blender for soon, and I might have to use a separate machine to do those things, which I would prefer to not do. Most of the rest of it is fairly manageable at this point.

      Suspend would also be nice.

      But I would be so SAD if I moved away from the Pocket setup as my daily driver at this point, in most ways it really is what I want.

      @cwebber Yeah not having Suspend means I am more likely to reach for my Thinkpad. If I had a shelf with a charger it might be different, I could leave it on and waiting

      Right now booting up the Pocket is sort of An Event

      @cwebber

      I always found this to be a normal way of working.

      If I have a network-connected machine, I get far too easily sidetracked to get much work done... :D

      This conversation is a case in point... :D

      @cwebber The eternal struggle of niche open hardware projects. They're hackable, but sometimes they *need* some (potentially involved) hacking to get to where you need it to be.

      The Pocket Reform with more polish (around suspend, battery life, etc) would be pretty much my ideal machine for personal use. In its current state it definitely requires some compromises. But I buy these things in part because I want to see them succeed :)
