1. A vertically oriented illustrated opera poster dominated by deep blue and teal tones. At the center is a stylized adult woman depicted in a theatrical, early-20th-century Art Nouveau style. She has pale skin, softly blushed cheeks, red lips, and wavy blond hair partially covered by a red headpiece. Her head tilts back slightly, eyes half-closed, giving an expressive, dramatic pose rather than a portrait-like gaze. Her arms are extended outward and upward, creating a wide, flowing shape across the image. She wears a vivid red costume with decorative gold accents and stockings, over which a large blue spider motif is integrated into the design. The spider’s body is centered on her torso, with long, dark blue legs extending outward across her body and into the surrounding space, visually merging with the flowing fabric. A translucent, swirling teal veil or cape billows around her, filling most of the background and suggesting motion, like water or air currents. Small yellow shapes—possibly stylized petals or sparks—are scattered throughout the veil, adding texture and movement. The background is a flat, dark blue with no architectural or landscape details, emphasizing the figure and costume. At the bottom left, bold decorative lettering reads “Il Ragno Azzurro,” and beneath it, in smaller text, “di A. Randegger.” At the bottom right appears “Edizioni Ricordi,” indicating the publisher. The typography is hand-drawn, curving, and consistent with early 20th-century poster design.
