   @chris Is there no way that your building gets a heating system from this century anytime soon? That you cannot regulate the heat in your own apartment sounds rather archaic to me. Hope you get some good sleep soon 🤞

     @jason They're supposed to replace it all in 3-5 years. The catch is that is NOT a simple process and will cost each unit $20,000-30,000 (there are over 200 units). When they do it will last another 60+ years but getting there isn't simple. When they do they're supposed to modernize delivery for just this issue.

     @jason Heh... it is what it is here. The engineering report came out just after we bought it so I can honestly say no one was trying to hide anything from us.

     At our old place my wife intentionally kept the temp at 27C during the day and I would lower it to 22C at night to sleep. That was our compromise as she gets cold at anything under 27-30C. She's loving this during the day, it's just that we need to adjust at night.

     @chris Phew 😮💨. Hope you at least got a discount for this "defect" when you bought the place. My bedroom and office gets 25ish degrees hot in spring, and 27 to 28 in summer constantly. I am regularly thinking about moving because of that. Just bought an AC for this reason. I think I would die in your apartment 😁
