I mostly shoot film these days but still have a Nikon DSLR I use for birds, whales, etc. As everyone upgrades to Sony alpha system or to Nikon mirrorless, this has been a GREAT time to snap up used copies of the lenses I could never afford. Great glass + very good Nikon bodies built like tanks are still going to be great in 8 years, I think.

@sysop408 the incredible 14-24 lens is now like 800 used. Huge markdown.

@skinnylatte they're indeed tanks. I've accidentally dropped my D750 and later my D780 onto concrete and neither suffered more than a few scratches.
I already had all the glass I needed, but I couldn't believe how affordable some used lenses have gotten and it's so tempting. The Sigma ART lineup in particular really have my attention.
I'm staying on DSLRs for the foreseeable future. It just works better for the specific techniques I use.

@skinnylatte what model do you use? I used to have nikon d80 and loved it. Canons were always too big for my hands to comfortably use
