freon (freon@letsalllovela.in)'s status on Sunday, 14-Aug-2022 01:04:35 JST freon checked ebay on mac mini g4s, they're pushing $80-100 now, obviously down to mostly the OS 9.2.2 hack but also not being in production for much more than a year before the x86 era. still pisses me off it was the cheap option like barely 2 yrs ago -

\\ (slash@cdrom.tokyo)'s status on Sunday, 14-Aug-2022 01:32:49 JST \\ @Moon @freon I had one of those, an eeepc 900A, the version best buy sold that had some terrible linux distro preinstalled. Great for taking notes in college classes without worrying about it dropping off the shitty half-desk, the eMMC died super fast and that killed the machine but for a long time after I could boot archbang, tails, etc off a usb thumb drive and it was still relatively useful. At least as useful as a device with no persistent storage can be.

I had a REALLY adorable little acer aspire netbook back in college
the form factor was cool but everything else about it was dogshit
screen was 1024x600 or something goofy like that IIRC -
