For our wedding we put the kids on the same tables as their parents. We got feedback from parents that this was very bad form and kids should always be relegated to a toddler table and fed spaghetti with red sauce instead of lobster. The kids loved it, though.

@fesshole is this an American thing? So you leave all the kids to eat SPAGHETTI, together, totally unsupervised?? That seems like a bad idea.
Besides, kids deserve yummy or new food experiences too! Dietary requirements allowing.
I'm child free by choice, but I love having kids at the table. Ask a kid their favourite dinosaur/extant animal/pokemon and you'll have no more awkward breaks in the convo for an hour 😆
