1. This vintage EL AL Israel Airlines travel poster promotes Athens as a destination, illustrated in a bold, colorful mid-20th-century graphic style. The artwork highlights the Acropolis and the Parthenon rising above the city, rendered in vibrant, almost mosaic-like patterns. Below, the artist depicts Athens’ urban landscape with stylized houses, churches, and winding streets, using saturated colors that give the scene a lively, modern aesthetic. The bottom of the poster features the EL AL logo and bilingual text—English and Hebrew—reading “ATHENS – VIA EL AL ISRAEL AIRLINES.” Posters like this were commonly used by airlines in the 1950s–1970s to market international travel with eye-catching, destination-themed artwork.
