   This is a great analysis of why conservatives feel persecuted for others simply existing or being acknowledged.

   It’s fear their identity and choices will stop being mainstream or normal. That’s why they get upset at Happy Holidays (acknowledging other religious celebrations exist) versus Merry Christmas.

     I don't get it. The white guy's analysis of the cartoon analyzes some other cartoon (that we cannot see), it is not derived from this one.

     In other words, white guy "analyst" is projecting his viewpoint inappropriately on this comic.

     White guy is complaining that people object to choices.

     Marine in comic is not objecting. He's ordering what he wants. He wants a black coffee.
     The barista keeps offering anything but a black coffee. Lady in line complains that the sale is not being completed.

     No one in the comic is complaining about too many choices. The white analyst guy is projecting his "people complain about too many choices" hangup on the comic.
