We're trying to not have the heating on to save money but when it's really cold getting into bed, I've taken to blasting my hairdryer under the duvet when I get in for 30 seconds on high - It's bloody magical - highly recommended.

@fesshole my wife's aproach for this is the hot water bottle. Mine is a device called BedJet that blows air into the top sheet on the bed. It has a heat function that really helps counteract cold bedclothes on the coldest winter nights.

@fesshole a lightweight knitted hat does wonders.
“ma in her kerchief and I in my cap had just settled down for a long winter’s nap”—I think it used to be more common to wear a cap of some sort to bed to help keep you warm

Other option: run your pjs through the dryer for about 10 minutes before heading off to bed. You’re nice and toasty as you drift off to sleep. I also switch to flannel sheets about midway through November. Chicago winter tested and approved. 🥶
