   Forbes: Google Starts Sharing All Your Text Messages With Your Employer

   As reported by Android Authority, “Google is rolling out Android RCS Archival on Pixel (and other Android) phones, allowing employers to intercept and archive RCS chats on work-managed devices. In simpler terms, your employer will now be able to read your RCS chats in Google Messages despite end-to-end encryption.”

     Don't ever use work devices for personal communication. Don't ever assume any transaction using a work device is private. Don't document your own trashing of coworkers or bosses by messages. If you didn't buy, pay for coverage, connections, or pay for tech services, it's NOT yours and you have no rights or expectation of privacy.
     Why don't people get this?

     @ai6yr and of course, your regular reminder from someone who worked at a major MDM developer:

     DO NOT USE YOUR PERSONAL PHONE FOR WORK. EVER.
     DO NOT INSTALL 'WORK' APPLICATIONS ON YOUR PERSONAL PHONE. EVER. (With exceptions for 2FA/token generators that need no permissions ONLY.)

     If they want you to have a 'work device,' then they have to provide it. If they refuse to provide it, then they're going to have to live with what they get.
     Not negotiable.
