I think it _should_ be a right. The practicalities _currently_ make it a privilege, functionally, but that does not change that it should be a right and companies should not be allowed to become so intrinsic or insert themselves in this way.

Being able to De-Palantir my life should be a right.

Don't mistake "is currently ever present" for "is just how it is". You've got far more time than I do to help change the way these companies are strangling the world. Don't settle already like this.
