   @soulfirethewolf #pimsync is implementing Google support and #imapgoose shall have OAuth support mainly for this reason: we recommend that folk don’t use shady “big tech” companies, but acknowledge that many have this imposed by their employer and don’t have a choice.

     @whynothugo @soulfirethewolf Yeah although stuff required by employer and rest of your life can be very different. And employer might even require a separation between the two.
     
     And I don't think there's anyone outside of complete trolls who would seriously go on the extreme of "if your employer requires a google account, then quit your job".
