Just throwing this out there. The desire isn't completely gone, but I just don't think it's a good idea, and would definitely consult my medical team first.

@Fragglemuppet My mom got her first tattoo around 40. Roses going diagonally across her body.
If you live in the US it may be important to have it in a place that can be easily covered also in hot weather as apparently tattoos confer a low social status, e.g. when interacting with police or border guards. At least that’s what I read.
