   This is so interesting, thank you.
   I'm not familiar with steam deck and I have been considering #bazzite ( from the @UniversalBlue project) because it gets high praise as a steam deck emulator.

     Thinking about it, my Steam Deck has been the only truly user friendly computing platform I've had the pleasure of interacting with over the last 5 years.

     If the new Steam hardware launch goes well, I really want Valve to make a phone.

     With Google's acceleration enshittification of Android, and with the opportunity for Valve to make most of my game catalogue Just Work on a phone platform, I think it would be a “shut up and take my money” opportunity.

     Interesting to note: not a *single* mention of “AI” in Valve's Steam hardware announcement.
