   Got this snack in a $5 mystery snack bag at a Chinese grocery. Fell down a rabbit hole of cultural context trying to figure out what it was before I tried eating it.

     @tedmielczarek @slightlyoff there is a vegetarian spicy squid product that is made of konjac, not seitan, that is so good I actually would pick that over the actual version just coz texture and taste is so good

     @slightlyoff I'd like to try the non-vegetarian version, honestly. I like seitan (there's a dive bar in Philly that makes amazing seitan wings!) but texturally it's just not doing it for me here.
