   Wow… this is beyond weird… so: Democrats (“the opposition” in Australian govt terms) just voted for select Republicans, involved in the 6 Jan insurrection, to give themselves a payrise… or have I got something wrong? This is like reading Alice through the Looking Glass…nothing makes sense…

     Deal to end #shutdown would also allow some #Republicans to sue the #US government for #Jan6 investigation

     Legislation moving through #Congress that would end the longest government shutdown in US history would also allow 8 Republican senators to seek hundreds of thousands of dollars in damages for alleged privacy violations stemming from the #DOJ's investigation of the Jan 6, 2021, Capitol #insurrection.
