My mum just said to me "You should be hung like a horse". When I challenged her over saying such a thing, it transpires she thought it was a punishment horses got. Turns out she's been incorrectly using the phrase since the 90s in various settings

@fesshole Boomers in Australia used to say "X can be blowed" when they didn't like "X". A few years ago my mum said "blow him" referring to some stranger doing something she didn't approve of. I pointed out that the expression may have outlived its usefulness.
