I was able to hide my network knowledge from my company for about 1.5 years.
It was easy because i've got no real certs for that stuff and so nobody asked.
But now a coworker was tasked to redo a lot of stuff from Core Switch to Firewall and i had to step in to "save" the company from some serious downtime.

Anyway, guess who got an additional role now.
