     democracy is great at blaming the other guys for why things aren't going right. i get mailings from a lot of congressmen and representatives. they all follow the boiler plate format of 'you may not like X, but i voted against X, it's the other party that voted for X' and everyone eats this shit up because they're dumb.
     i don't think democracy, as a system of control, would work with more than two parties.
