   Is there available anywhere a graphic overview over the #Gnome DE where all the parts are marked and named, so that if you have an issue with a part you don't know the name of you can find it there so you can search or ask about it?

     I can't even easily find a clean screenshot showing the full #Gnome Activities Overview (that's the name, right?)

     So this is my attempt to make one (without having to do a clean install). Sharing it here in hopes that others who might need a clean screenshot of the full Gnome Activities Overview can find it.

     First two in dark mode, second two in light mode.

     @wwarner Yes, very much so! The closest thing to what I wanted from and official Gnome source was this: https://help.gnome.org/users/gnome-help/stable/shell-introduction.html.en And… yeah…

     I think there are many, like me, who don't code but want to contribute in other ways who could help write newer documentation, if this was organized well. But of course I understand that that would demand some resources, and there's always a lot of stuff to prioritize!

     But really? I've never heard of that renaming. And see very little sign of that when I search for '"workspaces overview" gnome'. What then would the list of tiny workspaces below the search bar be called?

     Is there an official list of all the names somewhere? I think the Activities button has been rebranded also, after it became a visualization of the virtual desktops, but I couldn't find the new name.

     @forteller Looks cool! I think the scaling factor is a bit low though, no? I think it would make sense to turn on 2x scaling for the screenshot, so that it's more visible

     It may look weirdly large on your display, but in other contexts the screenshot from your display is a little too high res and everything looks tiny

     I still don't know what the icons in the top right corner is called. Help?

     Also, I think I need to take a new screenshot with some notifications in it for the "map" of the Message Tray to make any sense…

     Anything else? Is it called Activities Button?
