   My favorite Windows 11 feature (that I have on my work laptop) is that I could plug earphones, but it will only register that I actually plugged earphones and wants to use them if I join a Teams meeting, not before

     @malice I think it's also all the audio drivers fighting each other but that's my current way to use earphones properly

     @lain @solidsanek ALSA just works unless the sound card is broken garbage.
     
     Only poetteringware tends to be broken for no reason.

     @solidsanek earlier this year I'd plug in my earphones, and they'd randomly max out their volume in between songs. :)
