    @evan No, but I miss when I was young and sharing that info on Facebook etc. seemed innocent and harmless. I don't see myself feeling that safe again, but I wish I did.

    Every time I e.g. interact with the medical system, they use my date of birth to confirm my identity, and I'm like, any of my FB friends from back when could theoretically answer this question and access my medical data.

      @skyfaller so, even on Open Source software that you wrote or people you know wrote, who shared your views on privacy and were here on the Fediverse, you wouldn't want to share that info?

      @skyfaller also, that's not why medical professionals ask for your birthdate! It's to keep them from making a mistake and giving you the meds for the Nelson Lastname who is two floors down in the hospital. It's a safety issue, not a records access issue.
