     @jredlund why not? Don't you want to have better, deeper relationships with people you care about? Wouldn't a gentle reminder to connect on an important day be a good way to do that?

     @jredlund my target audience is whoever answers.

     I'm sad that as a community we are so damaged by surveillance capitalism that we can't imagine using software we make and run ourselves, and design to preserve our privacy, to connect with people we care about.

     I mean, that's the whole point of social software.

     Not everyone loves birthdays, I know.

     @evan Look, I am an outlier. I am not your target audience. I should not have even answered your poll. I can tell that birthdays are important to you. They are not to me. Please, just let it go.
