     @WarnerCrocker holy... the Nimitz!

     I first saw the USS Nimitz as a kid in The Final Countdown — I must’ve been around 10 years old. A few years later, my grandfather took me to see it in person in Wilhelmshaven, northern Germany.

     And now, decades later, it shows up again... in a news story shared by someone I met 17 years ago in Las Vegas — about an incident that happened on the opposite side of the planet.
     Exactly where I live now.

     The Nimitz just keeps finding its way back into my life.
