     @genmaicha I'm increasingly becoming a proponent of little i internet's. The old theory was that allowing everyone in the world to talk to eachother would increase intercontinental harmony but that is not the case. It's just created a volley of scammers and psyops.

     a problem with web 2.0 platforms like twitter and youtube is that they've increasingly become bazaars in the negative sense of the word, where foreign grifters can make a living off ad revenue from posting bait.
     
     one solution is to use backwater social media like fedi, which scammers largely do not care about, while the mainstream solution will probably be digital ID.

     @genmaicha to be clear I think there should be a physical connection, but I think we need segmented Indian Facebook separated from American Facebook separated from European Facebook. Something that your regular normie would not have any need or desire to circumvent. There is no plausible need for Pajeet Shitstreet to talk to Billy Bob Redneck except to scam him
