      　25日午前1時40分ごろ、北海道根室市で震度5弱を観測する地震があった。気象庁によると、震源地は根室半島南東沖で、震源の深さは約40キロ。地震の規模を示すマグニチュード（M）は5・9と推定される。この地震による津波の心配はない。
