More in the battery backup saga.

I was wondering why the shipping weight was 70 pounds more than the unit.

It came shipped in the equivalent of a bookcase.

I've removed the 16 screws holding the lid on, and the 3 holding the oddly-crafted 2-piece center bar in place, under the top. Top and bar removed, I was able to take out the large rolls of thick butcher paper padding the unit in case it moved.

The unit did not move. It weighs more than I do.

Meanwhile, the "bookcase" is screwed into the palette, which explains why I now am the proud owner of a palette. It's all every bit of 70 pounds.

I'm taking this in stages. getting it in place where I want it may be a challenge my neighbors get to look forward to helping me with.
